This is the text every guest accepts before FindMyPhoto uses their selfie to find their photos at an event hosted on FindMyPhoto by an organiser or photographer. Each consent record stores the version above and the sha256 fingerprint of the published consent text in the guest's language. The Events Privacy Addendum explains the details.
How the text is shown
- In the app, the consent screen shows the first list of the language section, in order: the title (line 1), who is responsible (2), what happens to your selfie and the event photos and who can see them (3 to 8), the separate consent checkbox (9), a link to the Events Privacy Addendum (10) and the choice between the two ways of being found (11 to 15). Continue stays disabled until the checkbox is ticked.
- On the website, the selfie step shows the second list, after "On the website", in order: the two ways of being found, each with its explanation (lines 1 to 4), the consent checkbox (5), who is responsible (6), how long your photos stay available (7) and who can see the photos (8). "Read what this means" opens this text.
- Placeholders are filled in for each event: {creator} is the host's display name and @handle, {event} is the event name and {retention} is the date on which the host's retention period ends.
English (EN)
- Your consent for this event
- {creator} hosts '{event}' on FindMyPhoto and is responsible for the photos and for your data at this event. FindMyPhoto processes them on their behalf.
- To find you, your selfie is compared with the faces in the event photos. For this event those faces are indexed by Amazon Rekognition on servers in the EU so they can be searched. Your selfie is only searched against that index; no face template of your selfie is kept. If you appear in the event photos, your face is in that index like everyone else's.
- Find my photos once: your selfie is deleted right after matching.
- Keep me posted: your selfie is kept while the event is open, re-checked when new photos are added, and you get a notification.
- Your matched photos stay available to you until the host's retention period ends ({retention}) or until you leave the event. Leaving does not remove you from the event photos; to have a photo removed, ask the host.
- Depending on the host's settings, other guests can see all photos of the event, and if the host opens the gallery, so can anyone with the event link. That includes photos you appear in.
- You can withdraw at any time via the event menu (Leave event, Delete my selfie). Withdrawing does not undo what already happened.
- I explicitly consent to the processing of my facial (biometric) data to find my photos at this event.

Nederlands (NL)

Changelog
- ec-2026-09-v1 (draft of 23 September 2026, revised on 17 October 2026 before anyone had accepted it): first version. In each language section, the first list holds the app keys crEvConsent01 to crEvConsent06, crEvConsent22 and crEvConsent07 to crEvConsent14, and the list after "On the website" (in Dutch "Op de website") holds the website messages event.details.onceTitle, onceBody, keepTitle, keepBody, consent, controller, availability and visibility, both in that order. The revision of 17 October added that leaving the event does not remove you from the event photos (crEvConsent06 and event.details.availability) and who can see the event photos (crEvConsent22 and event.details.visibility). Published on 6 November 2026 and in effect from that date.
