Delete your FindMyPhoto account
You can delete your FindMyPhoto account and all data belonging to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
In the app (immediate)
Open FindMyPhoto and go to Settings → Manage account → Delete account, then confirm. Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone.
By email (if you no longer have the app installed)
Send a message to support@findmyphoto.app from the email address your account is registered with, stating that you want your account deleted. We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner, and confirm by email when it is done.
If you signed in with Google or Apple, use the email address that appears in the app under Settings.
What gets deleted
- Your account and login details
- The selfie used to find you in photos
- Every photo that was matched to you, including the stored image files
- Your event list and event history
- Your notification (push) tokens, so no further notifications are sent
- Your username, which becomes available again
What is not affected
- Photos you already saved to your own device. Those are yours and stay in your gallery — the app cannot remove them, and deleting your account does not touch them.
- Anonymous, aggregated counts (for example, the total number of photos the service has processed). These contain no information that identifies you and cannot be traced back to you or your account.
- Photos in the original album. FindMyPhoto only reads shared albums that you submit; it never changes or deletes anything in them. To have photos removed from an album, contact whoever created it.
Using FindMyPhoto without an account
If you used the app as a guest, there is no account to delete. Your results are tied to a random identifier stored on your device, are never linked to your name or email address, and are deleted automatically 30 days after they are created. Removing the app from your device also removes that identifier.
